I have graduated from the University of Warsaw English Philology Department with a Master’s Degree in English Literature and Linguistics. I have been teaching English as a Second Language in Toronto, Ontario since 1990. I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers and TOESL Ontario. The courses I have taught included TOEFL and IELTS preparation classes. I have taught general English as well as specialty classes such as Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation.
I have a very strong professional background in Applied Linguistics and Methodology of Teaching. I combine in-depth knowledge of the mechanics of the language with the ability to impart that knowledge to the students in an interesting and engaging way. Having lived and taught in an English speaking country for over twenty years, I have developed near-native pronunciation and command of the language.
I offer instruction at the intermediate and advanced levels via Skype and e-mail for reading and writing assignments.
Before I make a commitment, I offer free assessment of the potential student’s language skills.
