My name is Joanna. I was born in New York, but my parents are Polish and when I was nine years old my whole family moved to Warsaw. Polish was always the language we spoke in the house. During the last years I traveled a lot, for example I worked and studied in Greece. I have experience in working with people from different nationalities. I also worked with children not only as a tutor but also as a kids animator in a hotel and in the national art gallery. Due to my interest in art I hold a degree in Art History. I am also taking a TEFL course in order to improve my teaching skills.

TEACHING MATERIALS:

For grammar practice I use professional text books like for example: Hurra!!! Po Polsku, Polish doesn’t bite, Speak Polish by Preston Publishing and others. I provide the students with digital versions of the books, so you do not have to worry about buying a book. I also support myself with many teaching materials found on the internet that I gathered threw all the time I worked as tutor. For conversations I use reading articles and I also like to recommend my students Polish films that they can watch and afterwards we can have a discussion related to the movie.
