Hi! My name is Adam and I'm from the UK. I have experience of teaching English with a mix of online and in-person lessons, ranging from teenagers to adults. I have a certificate in teaching English (TEFL), alongside CPD accredited courses in Pedagogy and Educational Psychology.

I was born and grew up in Yorkshire, in a quaint village between York and Hull. I have an educated British accent with a Bachelors degree with honors in Business from the University of Hull.

What you can expect from me:
I enjoy seeing my students improve their English and working with them on their English language journey!

The style of lessons you can expect from me are interactive and chatty, focusing on spoken communication and fluency. I like to tailor my lessons to topics of your interest as it is much easier to learn and talk about such subjects to kick start your English speaking and then delve into other topics once you get comfortable. Grammar and new vocabulary go hand in hand with spoken communication and getting familiar with it through context.

My lessons are very relaxed and thoroughly prepared with articles, videos, music, multitude of links and materials (never run out of topics and discussions). I do not use a specific textbook. Personally, I am light hearted and want you to have fun during our lessons, but at the same time I am professional and ambitious to guide and help you TALK.

I use Google Meets and Skype and I utilize technology in my lessons in a variety of ways. If required, I can try a different video platform if it is more convenient.

My goals for our lessons will be:

1. Improve fluency and confidence in spoken English and to think in English
2. Get to know and use a range of new vocabulary in different situations
3. Be familiar with listening and understanding different accents and colloquial language
4. Understand and start to self correct yourself with grammar
5. Improve written English in different contexts
6. Improve your pronunciation
7. I will provide constructive feedback throughout the lesson and in any homework given

The main goal, however, is for you to have fun, whilst learning at the same time!!

I can prepare you for international exams (IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE etc.). In addition, I can help prepare students for UK/Ireland/USA university interviews. My lessons are in English only, which enables you to think and speak in English. Furthermore, I can help prepare you for Matura and with knowledge from my business degree I can teach business English. Additionally, I proofread and copy edit a variety of documents in English and provide feedback and suggestions.
