WHY YOU?

• You want to practice general conversation  and  talk about current events and issues,
        or
• You want to discuss specific topics related to your interests or professional engagements and you want/need to do it in English,
        or
• You want to  brush up your English before you meet your daughter’s foreign in-laws,

or perhaps

• You’d like to discuss English language novels, short stories, essays, poems  to share your impressions, report on your discoveries, debate their fine points.

WHY ME?

- I’ve enjoyed English most of my life, whether studying, teaching or speaking it in diverse contexts

- I have MA degrees in English (American Literature and Culture) and in Interdisciplinary Theological Studies

- I am a certified English teacher (English Philology; nauczyciel mianowany)

- I taught undergraduate English language courses at Teacher Training Colleges and tutored individuals and groups in American literature and culture, in literary interpretation and translation theory and practice as well as in Practical English (composition, communicative skills, listening, etc.)

- I coordinated and co-led independent English language seminars in current affairs and have taught English to teenagers and adults. 

- I lived and studied in Canada and earned a graduate degree from a Canadian college

- My interests in the humanities, social sciences and the arts are wide-ranging. I am intrigued about the many issues their disciplines tackle and I am happy to be able to pursue or research them in English.

I’m inviting students for whom English may be a means or an end, or both.   I’m interested in my students’ interests and my lessons are tailor-made to meet their needs and goals. I am a patient teacher and a good listener.
